The Alice Ottley School was an independent all-girls' school in Worcester that existed under this name – referencing its first headmistress – between 1883 and 2007 before it merged with the Worcester Royal Grammar School.
The Alice Ottleians and Old Elizabethans’ Association was the organisation for former pupils (alumni) and ex-staff of the Alice Ottley School and The RGS Worcester family of Schools.
The Alice Ottley School was founded by Canon William Butler of Wantage and Ottley in 1883. [3] Canon Butler had arrived in Worcester in 1881 and he founded a new school for girls. Ottley was recommended to Butler as the ideal candidate.

1 de set. de 2023 · Entry across all year groups swiftly followed, and in 2007 the neighbouring girls-only Alice Ottley School, which had been a landmark within the City for 124 years, merged with RGS Worcester. This also saw the AOS Prep School, Springfield, being absorbed into the family of schools, and at this point, RGS became fully co-educational.
