Wrong Road is the twenty-second episode of the second series. It is based on the story of the same name from the Railway Series book Main Line Engines. Thomas' and Edward's branch lines bring in valuable traffic.
The working title of this film was Treasure Hunt.It was the last film produced by Colbert Clark for Republic. In 1948, Republic remade the picture as Out of the Storm, which was directed by R. G. Springsteen and starred James Lydon and Lois Collier.
