The film is the fifth set in the View Askewniverse, a growing collection of characters and settings that developed out of Smith's cult-favorite Clerks.

Sinopse. Jay e Silent Bob (também chamado de Bob Calado), a dupla de jovens alienados de Nova Jérsei, ficam sabendo que os personagens de quadrinhos baseados neles, os super-heróis Bluntman e Chronic, tiveram seus direitos vendidos por um desenhista e que agora a Miramax, uma grande produtora cinematográfica de Hollywood, irá realizar um filme.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back takes place eight years after the events of Clerks. Due to their excessive disturbances, drug dealing and starting rumors about Dante and Randal Graves ( Jeff Anderson ) being a gay couple, Dante and Randal file a restraining order against Jay and Silent Bob.
