Epsom College is a co-educational independent school on Epsom Downs, Surrey, England, for pupils aged 11 to 18. It was founded in 1853 as a benevolent institution which provided a boarding school education for sons of poor or deceased members of the medical profession and also accommodation for pensioned doctors.
Epsom College is consistently among the UK’s leading schools, based on its performance in public exams. In its last set of league tables, the Department for Education places us in the top 1% nationally. In 2022, we were voted Independent School of the Year (both as the Overall Winner, and as School of the Year for Student Wellbeing).
7 de fev. de 2023 · George Pattison shot dead his wife Emma, the first female head of Epsom College, and their seven-year-old daughter Lettie at their home in school grounds. He then took his own life, after Mrs Pattison called a relative for help.
