The focus of this article, Lady Helen Munro Ferguson, later Viscountess Novar, was perhaps the most influential Australian female vice-regal leader of the early 20thcentury. As the wife of our sixth governor-general, Lady Helen played a key leadership role among Australian women during and after her six years here.
