17 de nov. de 2022 · Balian Beach is a hidden gem in southwest Tabanan, Bali. It’s about 60km west of Kuta and Ubud. The 1.5-hour drive can take over 2.5 hours thanks to the notorious traffic on the island. You can either get a taxi or ride a scooter to Balian Beach.
This is the perfect beach for surfers and sunbathers who are looking for a complete break from the hustle and bustle of south Bali. Balian beach on the west coast of Bali is a 90 min drive from the airport and located right at the mouth of the Balian River.

Balian Beach is on Bali’s West Coast in the Tabanan Regency. It’s about an hour and a half’s drive from the main beach towns of Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta and that means it gets relatively few visitors in comparison to those towns.
Balian is a 2km stretch of black sand that meets a river mouth on its southern end. Not typically crowded, Balian beach can be a nice quiet getaway from some of the more popular beaches outside of Kuta. At low tide, the views from the shore may require a pause and a few deep breaths.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key beach hideaway that harks back to a Bali of old, Balian beach might just be your perfect slice of paradise. Catch some waves, work on your yoga, and find your own private peice of beach to waste the day away on.
