Albany ( /ˈɔl.bə.ni/ 1) est une ville et la capitale de l' État de New York, aux États-Unis. Elle est située à 233 km au nord de New York, à une dizaine de kilomètres en aval du confluent de la rivière Mohawk avec l' Hudson. De plus, elle se trouve à une quarantaine de kilomètres des frontières du Vermont et du Massachusetts.

Located in western Albany, Melrose is roughly bounded by Washington Avenue to the north, Western Avenue to the south, Brevator Street to the west, and Manning Boulevard to the east. Melrose Avenue itself is built on the right-of-way of the first passenger railroad in the state of New York, which ran from Albany to Schenectady.
