I wrote for information on my uncle's service with the RAF during WW2. He was shot down and killed in 1943. I wrote to RAF 3rd Party Disclosure Team at RAF Cranwell and all I recieved was two very poorly presented A3 sheets with so little info as to be useless.
Obtaining RAF Personnel Information. The 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron Association does maintain a list of current members and associate members; however, it does not have a digitised database of all personnel who have previously served on the Squadron. Information on members or associate members cannot be disclosed without their consent.
