His son Maredudd ap Tudur (d. 1406) was father of Owen Tudor. His other two sons, Rhys ap Tudur (d. 1409) and Gwilym ap Tudur (d. 1413) were important players in the uprising of Owain Glyndŵr, their first cousin.
