The Methodist Hymn-Book (a 1st edition, pictured) was printed in 1933 to commemorate the union of the three major Methodist branches. With the Methodist Union of 1932 the three main Methodist connexions in Britain—the Wesleyans, Primitive Methodists, and United Methodists—came together to form the present Methodist Church.
