Alice Salomon est née à Berlin, le 19 avril 1872, dans une famille juive.Son père, Albert Salomon (1834–1886) est négociant en cuir et sa mère Anna Potocky-Nelken (1838–1914) est issue d'une famille de banquiers de Breslau [1].
