Richard Swinburne u0013 short intellectual autobiography. I began my academic life at the University of Oxford, with undergraduate (1954-7) and graduate (1957-9) degrees in philosophy and then a diploma in theology (1959-60).
Richard Swinburne’s contribution to Christian philosophy has been immense. Swinburne studied at the University of Oxford, and spent around a decade each lecturing at the University of Hull and the University of Keele, before returning to Oxford to become Nolloth Professor of the Philosophy of the Christian Religion from 1985 to his retirement in 2002.
