27 de mar. de 2023 · George Talbot, 4 th Earl of Shrewsbury, was born in Shifnal in Shropshire in 1468 and was the son and heir of John Talbot, 3 rd Earl of Shrewsbury, and his wife, Katherine Stafford. His father died in 1473, when Talbot was just five, so the wardship of the young new Earl of Shrewsbury was granted to William, Baron Hastings, who arranged the marriage of Talbot to his daughter, Anne.

6th Earl of Shrewsbury, 6th Earl of Waterford, 12th Baron Talbot, 11th Baron Furnivall, KG, Earl Marshal (1528 – 18 November 1590) was an English magnate and military commander. Talbot was the only son of Francis Talbot, 5th Earl of Shrewsbury and Mary Dacre.

There was a scandalous feud between the brothers and much litigation. The Grafton estates had been subjected to constant fines for the recusancy of the owners.
