The Man in the White Suit is a peculiar film. Alexander Mackendrick of Sweet Smell of Success & The Ladykillers fame directs, but unfortunately for me, it’s far closer to the latter than the former. Alec Guinness does what he can with the role & the screenplay was nominated for an Oscar, but White Suit largely falls flat until the very, very end.
