The history of St Catharine's College, Cambridge, from its 15th-century foundations to its newest building projects. St Catharine's College was founded in 1473 by Robert Woodlark. He had spent nearly twenty years buying up tenements in what is now Queens’ Lane until he had a site large enough to accommodate the little hall which he called ‘Saynt Kateryns Hall of Cambridge’.
St Catharine’s has also commissioned Scala Arts & Heritage to publish a new official history to chronicle the College’s foundation in 1473 and subsequent development as a welcoming, thriving and vibrant academic community in the heart of Cambridge, supported by a network of 10,000 alumni around the world.
