On her wedding day, she was hit by a meteorite filled with Quantonium, which made her grow to a height of 49 feet and 11 inches. In the TV series, Susan can change back-and-forth to her normal size.

The monsters are rendered in awesome fashion, and while they are not that original, that isn't surprising since this is a parody. Still - they aren't very original. Susan is quite the daredevil.
