22 de mai. de 2023 · Lady Charlotte, daughter of Princess Antonia of Prussia (now Duchess of Wellington) and therefore great-great-granddaughter of the late German Emperor Wilhelm II, was born on 8 October 1990 at St Mary’s Hospital in London. She grew up at Stratfield Saye House, her family’s Hampshire seat.
Wellington was born on 19 August 1945 at H.R.H Princess Christian Hospital in Windsor, Berkshire, the eldest son of Valerian Wellesley, 8th Duke of Wellington and Diana McConnel. He grew up in London and at Stratfield Saye House, his family's estate in Hampshire, and was educated at Ludgrove School, Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford.
In 1868, the Duchess of Argyll succeeded the Duchess of Wellington as Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria, holding the position until 1870, when she resigned due to ill health. Soon after being appointed a member of the newly created Order of the Crown of India , she died in 1878 whilst eating with William Ewart Gladstone in London.

Personal life. On 3 February 1997, she married Charles Wellesley, Marquess Douro at St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge in London. When her husband succeeded his father as the 9th Duke of Wellington, she become the Princess of Waterloo, Duchess of Victoria, Duchess of Wellington, and Duchess of Ciudad Rodrigo.
