To vote at the UK general election you must be registered to vote and: 18 years of age or over on polling day; be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen; be resident at an address in the UK (or a UK citizen living abroad who has previously been registered to vote in the UK or has lived in the UK) not be legally excluded from voting
4 de jul. de 2024 · In about an hour, at 22:00 BST, polls will close across the UK in the general election. Anyone who is in the queue at a polling station before then will still be allowed to vote.
Notional results: UK parliamentary constituency boundaries have changed since the last election in 2019, affecting 90 per cent of constituencies. All results prior to 2024 are therefore “notional”, or estimates of what the outcome of past elections would have been, had they been contested under the present boundaries.
Candidates intending to stand for election as an MP needed to hand in nomination papers by 4pm. Candidates who wanted to withdraw their nominations need to do so by 4pm. Tuesday 18 June - voter registration deadline. To vote in the 2024 General Election you needed to be registered to vote by midnight on 18 June 2024.
