I didn´t need them to become a couple at the end, though. Well, for better or worse, the film is a product of its time. “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” is the superior Jules Verne film, but “Journey to the Center of the Earth” has a similar charm. Despite some flaws, it´s an enjoyable escapist adventure.
