23 de mai. de 2018 · John Hervey, 2nd Baron Hervey (1696–1743), was a politician, court wit and pamphleteer. On the death of his half-brother Carr in 1723 he took the courtesy title of Lord Hervey and gained some renown both as a writer and in politics.

Hervey Redmond was born about 1743, the only son of Hervey Morres and his first wife, Letitia Ponsonby. His father was a commoner at the time but would be created Baron Mountmorres in 1756 and Viscount Mountmorres in 1763. His mother was the youngest daughter of Brabazon Ponsonby, 1st Earl of Bessborough. His parents had married in 1742.

Frederick Hervey, 2nd Marquess of Bristol (15 July 1800 – 30 October 1864), the great-great-great-grandfather of the present Marquess; Lady Georgiana Elizabeth Charlotte Hervey (8 September 1801 – 16 January 1869) married Rev. Hon. John Grey, son of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, and had three children.
