Frederick Arthur Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby was born on 15 January 1841. 1 He was the son of Edward Geoffrey Smith-Stanley, 14th Earl of Derby and Hon. Emma Caroline Bootle-Wilbraham. 1 He married Lady Constance Villiers, daughter of George William Villiers, 4th Earl of Clarendon and Lady Katherine Grimston, on 31 May 1864. 2 He died on 14 June 1908 at age 67. 1
