Oskar (Oscar) Homolka wurde am 12. August 1898 als Sohn des Waffenschmieds Heinrich Homolka und dessen Ehefrau Annain Wien geboren. Sein schauspielerisches Rüstzeug erwarb er sich er zwischen 1915 und 1917 an der Wiener "Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst" 1), gab 1918 am "Wiener Komödienhaus" sein Bühnendebüt.
