The school opened in September 2017 with two Reception and Year 1 classes and will grow organically into a further two Year 2 and 3 classes. Wetherby Kensington is composed of a Lower School (Reception and Year 1) and Upper School (Year 2 and Year 3).

  3. Expectations. Wetherby High School Sixth Form expects high standards from students. It is right that Sixth Form students have more independence as this is a time when they are learning skills that will help them make an effective transition from school to higher education or employment.

  6. Wetherby School is exempt from the learning and development requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This allows us the freedom to exercise our own professional judgement in implementing the Reception curriculum with teaching and learning strategies that are best suited to the individual needs of the boys at Wetherby.

  7. Drama is taught at Wetherby in Years 2 and 3 but the boys begin learning drama skills from Reception. After only one term in the school all Reception boys participate in the performance of a nativity play.
