The following Proto-Sinaitic pairs of signs probably merge into (>) a single sign in Proto-Canaanite inscriptions: d and z > z. ḥ and ḫ > ḥ. š and t > š. The question mark (?) when found in the signs column means that the sign itself is uncertain, when found in the names column means that the name (or its meaning) is uncertain.

Script family: Proto-Sinaitic, Phoenician; Number of letters: 22 - there was considerable variation in their forms in different regions and at different times. The names of the letters are acrophonic, and their names and shapes can be ultimately traced back to Egyptian Hieroglyphs.
This is the main body of work connected to my Synoptic Index. Observations with Paleo-Greek, Ancient Egyptian, and Chinese confirm Paleo-Hebrew was not originally connected with Mesopotamian, but was a later influence from which we get the Acronym Theory and a connection to Proto-Sinaitic.

Nevertheless, to date, these remain as conjectures, as the Proto-Sinaitic script has not been fully deciphered yet.
