When Robert 'Rob Roy' MacGregor was born on 1 February 1671, in Glengyle, Stirlingshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, Donald Glas MacGregor 5th of Glengyle, was 36 and his mother, Margaret Campbell, was 36. He married Mary Helen MacGregor of Comer on 1 January 1693, in Buchanan, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
