MIL-STD-1553 is a military standard published by the United States Department of Defense that defines the mechanical, electrical, and functional characteristics of a serial data bus.
This manual was developed to provide a general overview of MIL-STD-1553 its specifications and applications. The first chapter provides a discussion of MIL-STD-1553, its history, application and operational overview.
