Isaac Asimov (russisk: Исаак Юдович Озимов, tr. Isaak Judovitj Ozimov; født 2. januar 1920 i Petrovitji, Smolensk oblast, Russiske SFSR, død 6. april 1992 i New York, USA) var en russiskfødt amerikansk forfatter og biokemiker.
Isaac Asimov sündis Petrovitši külas Mogiljovi kubermangus, mis tänapäeval asub Smolenski oblasti Šumjatši rajoonis. 1923. aastal asus ta koos vanematega elama Ameerika Ühendriikidesse, mille kodakondsuse sai ta 1928. aastal. [1]

Originally published as The Intelligent Man’s Guide to Science in 1960, it went through numerous updates and expansions as more and more was discovered about the universe; the 1984 edition, Asimov’s New Guide to Science, is the one to get.
