Jane Dudley, Duchess of Northumberland, was born Jane Guildford around 1509. By the time she was sixteen or so, she had married her father’s ward, John Dudley (born 1504), whose father, Edmund Dudley, had had the dubious distinction of being one of the first people executed by Henry VIII.
2014 - 2018. My Ph.D. project focussed on dissecting the role of autophagy in glioblastoma under the supervision of Dr Noor Gammoh. My research has shown that autophagy is required for gliomagenesis. I found that autophagy promotes metabolic and cellular signalling pathways, which stimulate cell growth and staves off senescence.

In doing so she called upon the bonds among the circle of reformist court ladies of the 1540s of which she, Anne Stanhope, Duchess of Somerset , and perhaps also Anne Preston, Lady Paget formed part.
