Elizabeth Claypole (født 2. juli 1629, død 6. august 1658) var den andre datteren til Oliver Cromwell og hans hustru Elizabeth Cromwell (født Bourchier). Like her elder sister Bridget, we know almost nothing about the life of Elizabeth Cromwell (born 1629), the second of the Cromwells’ four daughters, until her marriage at Ely in 1646 to John Claypole. During the Protectorate, Claypole became Master of the Horse and he and his wife held apartments at Whitehall and Hampton Court.

Elizabeth Claypole [nb 1] ( née Cromwell ; 2 July 1629 – 6 August 1658) was the second daughter of Oliver Cromwell , Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland , and his wife, Elizabeth Cromwell , and reportedly interceded with her father for royalist prisoners.
Life. She was born to Elizabeth (born Bouchier) and Oliver Cromwell in 1624. Cromwell comes to notice in 1646 when she marries Henry Ireton who was a close colleague of her father. She had her beautiful portrait painted by Cornelius Johnson and that picture is now in Chequers Court. [1]
