27 de jun. de 2007 · Sir Augustus d´Este ger i dagboksform den första dokumenterade sjukhistorien om multipel skleros (MS). Sjukdomen kom att beskrivas kliniskt först tjugo år efter sir Augustus´ död av Jean Marie Charcot. En märkvärdig fallbeskrivning av detta öde publicerades i början av 1940-talet av den engelske läkaren Douglas Firth.

The couple secretly married in Rome on 4 April 1793. The King's minister of Hanover affairs Ernst zu Münster was sent to Italy to escort him back to London.
