Stuart Murdoch (født 25. august 1968) i Clarkston, East Renfrewshire) er en skotsk musiker. Han er sanger, gitarist, pianist, keyboardist og låtskriver i indiepopbandet Belle & Sebastian . Som liten hadde Murdoch undervisning i piano, men karrieren innen musikk startet ikke før han var DJ i en radiostasjon på University of Glasgow , hvor han studerte.

One, is that I've had this chronic illness off and on for thirty years, so there's been a lot of isolation involved, a lot of looking inward and preparing your mind.
