Shotgun Slade is an American western television series starring Scott Brady that aired seventy-eight episodes in syndication from October 24, 1959, until 1961. Created by Frank Gruber, the stories were written by John Berardino, Charissa Hughes, and Martin Berkeley. The series was filmed in Hollywood by Revue Studios.
Shotgun Slade (1959-1960) Shotgun Slade was a lawman in the 1860's. He used a a custom made double-barreled shotgun which shot both a shotgun shell and a rifle bullet. Starring Scott Brady. Shotgun Slade (former boxer Scott Brady) wasn’t a Marshal, Sheriff, or gunfighter for hire. He was a private detective, hired to track down criminals, return stolen money, or solve mysteries surrounding the death of townspeople. Slade carried a unique modified gun, like fellow cowboy heroes Lucas McCain and Josh Randall.
