  1. RAF Cranwell and RAF Barkston Heath This is the starting point for all military aviation training within UKMFTS; and courses delivered here cover Elementary Flying Training (EFT) conducted in the Grob 120 TP (Prefect), and Multi-Engine Pilot and Rear Crew training in the Embraer 100 (Phenom).

  2. Flying training takes place all year round at RAF Cranwell. A usual flying day is 8am to 5pm. Every effort is made to minimise the disruption to local communities. However noise levels may sometimes increase due to training taking place over the airfield or from transiting fast jets or helicopters, which do practice low flying.
