The Department promotes a supportive environment in which individual endeavour and creative collaboration can thrive. Music at Marlborough benefits from three modern technology suites which give all pupils the opportunity to enjoy Logic Pro and Sibelius on the latest iMac computers. A new recording studio was made available in January 2022.
2 de mai. de 2020 · John Maples, Baron Maples. John Cradock Maples, Baron Maples (22 April 1943 – 9 June 2012) was a British politician. A member of the Conservative Party, he served as a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Lewisham West from 1983 to 1992 and Stratford-upon-Avon from 1997 to 2010. He was made a life peer in 2010.
The First World War Archive. 749 members of the Marlborough community – pupils, beaks and staff – lost their lives in the Great War, 1914-1918. Parts of their stories are contained in records held by the College, in particular in the Rolls of Honour which are kept in the Memorial Hall, and in the copies of The Marlburian of that time.
21 de out. de 2020 · In 1968 Marlborough College become the first boys boarding school to admit girls in to the Sixth Form and by 1989 it had become fully co-educational. Today it has evolved into one of Britain’s top public schools with an impressive list of famous alumni from William Morris to John Betjeman and Chris de Burgh to Jack Whitehall and the Duchess of Cambridge.
18 de dez. de 2023 · Marlborough College first opened its doors as a school in 1843 after a group of Church of England clergymen sought a boarding school to educate the sons of clergy. The first class of 199 boys was welcomed in August that year. It was agreed the college would have 500 pupils, with the majority being clergy children.
Marlborough College is licensed as a child student sponsor by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to sponsor pupils who require visas to study in the United Kingdom. Subject to certain requirements being met, the College will issue a ‘Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies’ (CAS) reference number to a pupil requiring a visa if they have been offered and accepted a place to study at the College.

Marlborough College ranked in 58th place, with 60.91 per cent of its 108 students achieving A and A* grades in 2018. On the other end of the scale, was Notre Dame Senior School in London, with the lowest percentage of 52.
