Sandringham Gardens. Set over 25 hectares (60 acres) and enjoyed by the Royal Family and their guests when in residence, the more formal Gardens are open from April - October. The grounds have been developed in turn by each Monarch since 1863 when King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra purchased the Estate. Tickets for 2024 available in January.
Sandringham House is open to visit until 11 October. The main eight ground floor rooms, regularly used by the Royal Family, are open to the public and the decor and contents remain very much as they were in Edwardian times. Sandringham House was built in 1870 by The Prince and Princess of Wales, who later became King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
The Royal Parkland and Courtyard facilities are open all year and free to visit, parking charges apply. For the best priced tickets and advanced parking book online for the House and Garden. Sandringham is 6 miles north-east of King's Lynn and is signposted from the A148 Fakenham road and the A149 Hunstanton road. Newer satellite navigation systems should recognise the Royal Park’s postcode of PE35 6AB. The North and West car parks are open all year for parking.
