Queen’s University Belfast was founded by Royal Charter in 1845. Founded by Queen Victoria, the Queen's University in Ireland, was designed to be a non-denominational alternative to Trinity College Dublin which was controlled by the Anglican Church. The University was made up of three Queen's Colleges - in Cork, Galway and Belfast.
Dentistry Facilities. Our dentistry programme ranks 7th in the UK according to the Complete University Guide 2025. Dentistry in Queen's was also awarded first in the UK for Dentistry (97% satisfaction) (National Student Survey 2022).
