Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle KG PC (14 August 1653 – 6 October 1688) was an English Army officer, peer, politician and colonial administrator who sat in the House of Commons from 1667 to 1670 when he inherited his father's dukedom and sat in the House of Lords.

After his capture and imprisonment (1644–46), Monck changed sides and helped Oliver Cromwell quell an Irish rebellion. Cromwell rewarded him with command of the forces in Scotland (1651).
George Monck, 1st Duke of Albemarle, was named the first Palatine for the Carolina province on this date. Upon his death in 1670, his share of Carolina was inherited by his eldest son, Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle. Also upon his death in 1670, John Berkeley, 1st Baron of Stratton was named as the second Palatine of Carolina.
