Althorp is a Grade I listed stately home and estate in the civil parish of Althorp, in West Northamptonshire, England of about 13,000 acres (5,300 ha). By road it is about 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of the county town of Northampton and about 75 miles (121 km) northwest of central London, situated between the villages of Great Brington and Harlestone.
23 de mai. de 2024 · Diana moved to Althorp House in 1976. She was said to love the grounds and house, which was bought by Sir John Spencer in 1508 - despite rumours of ghosts haunting its many corridors, halls and rooms.
The entrance to Althorp House is a 15-minute walk from the West Gate visitors car park NN7 4HQ. To explore the ground to the Princess of Wales Memorial at the oval takes approximately 30-minutes from the West Gate car park. We do not offer a shuttle to and from the gates, please be prepared for a considerable distance to walk.
