8 de mar. de 2024 · There was one last royal favourite connected to the Villiers family: Frances Twysden (1753-1821). No stranger to scandal from the moment of her birth, she had been born posthumously to the Right Reverend Philip Twysden (from a Kent family), who, despite being Bishop of Raphoe in the Church of Ireland, was shot dead in 1752 while (allegedly) attempting to rob a stagecoach near London.
