Third Day was a Christian rock band formed in Marietta, Georgia in 1991. The band was founded by lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee (both of whom were the only constant members) and Billy Wilkins. [1] Drummer David Carr was the last band member to quit, prior to the band’s farewell tour in May and June 2018.

Chronology, Volume One spans the inaugural five years and first four albums of one of the past decade's most successful acts (i.e., six million albums sold, a couple dozen Dove and GRAMMY(r) Awards, 24 No. 1 singles).
The duo added bassist Tai Anderson and drummer David Carr from another local band, and recorded some demos. Third Day's live shows gradually built them a loyal fan base, and just after lead guitarist Brad Avery joined, the band signed to Gray Dot Records. Their eponymous debut followed in 1996, with Conspiracy No. 5 appearing a year later.

Now, that said, this collection suffers from what so many of Third Day's recordings suffer from, brickwalling, loudness wars, i.e. overly compressed. Right now I'm listenening to C1 on headphones and have to have the volume almost all the way down and still find it's screaming at me.
