25 de jul. de 2014 · Here Blood Glacier becomes the modern equivalent of a cheesy makeup effects horror of the 1980s – something like The Kindred (1986) or Blue Monkey (1987) might be a comparable example. On the other hand, you keep expecting all of this to mount to something amazing, or at the very least a gruelling to-the-last-man siege.
2 de mai. de 2014 · Yes, there are crazy-go-nutty monsters in the film, but you seldom get to see them as they sadly are not the focus of "Blood Glacier." Instead, the film gets lost in a vague, gruel-thin atmosphere of loss, and impending doom. It is not really about global warming, which is actually a thing, and deserves a good horror film.

26 de ago. de 2014 · Blood Glacier is not some new classic or anything like that. However, the enjoyed the movie thoroughly. It takes inspiration from some old classics such as Carpenter's The Thing and Raimi's The Evil Dead. It resembles too Fessenden's recent The Last Winter a bit. In the end, though, Blood Glacier is a work of its own.
