Completed 2019. Location Lisle, Illinois, United States. Type Primary (K-8), Schools. Perkins and Will designed Lisle Elementary School to be both a building for student learning as well as a classified arboretum in Lisle, Illinois.
Architecture is about bringing visions to life and exploring creativity and innovation to the utmost possibility. Perkins has cleverly executed this and Will through the contemporary design intervention at Lisle Elementary School.

Lisle Elementary School is a brand new school in the suburbs of Chicago, and it’s designed to standards that would classify it as an arboretum. There are 26 species of trees and 6 species of shrubs on site, as well as an outdoor, planted terrace on the second story.
