A apresentação aconteceu no festival global Live 8, na edição realizada no Hyde Park, em Londres.
1 de jul. de 2021 · Quis o destino que esse fosse o último show do Pink Floyd clássico. O motivo foi a perda do tecladista Richard Wright, que morreu 3 anos depois, em 2008. Com proposta beneficente, o Live 8 buscava reviver o sucesso e a noção de ajuda humanitária que aconteceu três décadas antes, em 1985, no histórico Live Aid.
