22 de jan. de 2022 · So I'm in the same boat, but have always learned more towards Todoist for the following reasons: - Task syntax makes more sense to me in Todoist. "take out the trash every thursday at 9pm #house" I don't think you can enter projects in a task with TickTick. - If you use the Google Calendar sync, you can edit tasks in your calendar.
18 de dez. de 2022 · Yes, you can do that. The downside to it is how Google Calendar's notifications work. I have set the duration of each Todoist task to take 15 minutes in my Gcal. So the notification that arrives for a task only stays in the notification panel for 15 minutes, and then it disappears.
27 de set. de 2022 · I would say the very basic difference between the two is that Todoist is meant for actionable items and Notion is meant for both actionable and non-actionable items. Todoist is probably better at handling those actionable items like projects and one off tasks, but Notion probably better handles non-actionable items like recipes, web clippings ...

1 de nov. de 2020 · Yes, just had a quick search and couldn't find much. I know Todoist used to have a Wunderlist (MS To Do pre-cursor) import facility. I've never used MS To Do, but I'd probably go the copy/paste route to Excel/Google Sheets and clean up that way. I know my way around spreadsheets so appreciate that may not be a universal solution.
20 de nov. de 2022 · The desktop app is my favorite. It hangs in the system tray and you can set a hotkey to popup an Add Task box or the command menu. It's also very lightweight, but fully-featured. There is a free app called Live Tiles Anywhere that bring live Tiles and widgets back to Windows 11. I haven't tried it with Todoist but it works with the Weather app ...

TickTick has task descriptions as well as comments, and you can also create notes. 18 de set. de 2022 · One thing to consider is Todoist integrates with tons of other tools while Things is on its own island. Not sure if they ever plan implementing an API but for them to assume everyone just uses things by itself is annoying. With that being said I’ve used things from day 1. I used Todoist for a few years as well.
