The only time she got pissed was with Robert Duvall at the oscars. None of it would be allowed today. The thing is she's not even that heavy in that clip. Compared to people today, Shelley wasn't that huge.

Despite that, she has a good heart, which is hard to encounter in Hollywood. At a time when gay people were oppressed beyond belief, they identified with her struggles and she theirs.
