  2. The last scene even tough sad for the viewer, is in it self a moment of serenity and tranquility for Yuu and withe the sudden slow down of things also for the viewer. With the slower last scene, the viewer once again connects with the protagonist.

  3. Shows that are 12/13 episodes long with single seasons suffer from Maeda Syndrome. It's happened with every anime he's been involved in in that situation. Air, Charlotte, Angel Beats. Build up a decent/good story/universe, then rush the ending because you're out of episodes. It's impossible for him to write a good show in a single cour.
