- The Earthshots
The Earthshot Prize is a global environmental award that is rewarded to five winners each year for their contributions towards environmentalism. It was first awarded in 2021 and is planned to run annually until 2030. Each winner receives a grant of £1 million to continue their environmental work.
Recognising this need, Prince William founded The Earthshot Prize in 2020. In just three years, we’re emerging as a global platform for finding innovators, unlocking funding, accelerating solutions and inspiring optimism. Our 2024 Impact Report sets out where we are on our decade-long journey.
Each winning solution will be awarded £1million in Prize funding to help support and scale these ingenious innovations, with the potential to repair our planet. The awards ceremony celebrated the global Finalists and awarded the first five Winners of The Earthshot Prize.
