    In the Stable Yard, about 100 meters from the entrance to Koldinghus, there are four handicap parking spaces available. Please note that parking fees apply to these spaces. If you have limited mobility, it is possible to drive directly to the castle’s gate for drop-off and pick-up. Parking is directed to the Stable Yard parking area.

    Individuals with companion cards from Danske Handicaporganisationer (Danish Disability Organizations) can bring a helper/companion for free. Companion cards must be presented upon arrival. You can book a free companion ticket online or inquire at the reception upon arrival. You can book a ticket for yourself and your companion online here

    Guide and service dogs accompanying their owners have access to the entire castle. The dog must be a trained service dog clearly marked with a “Working Dog” vest or similar. It must also be leashed throughout the visit.

    There is an elevator at Koldinghus. The width of the elevator door is 79 cm. The elevator does not reach the Giant’s Tower or the Dungeon. There is a lift for access to Madkælderen, operated by the staff of Madkælderen.

    There is an accessible restroom on the basement floor near the elevator. Feel free to ask our staff for further information.

    Koldinghus provides seating areas for visitors to rest. Additionally, racks with lightweight museum chairs are available, which visitors can carry during their visit to sit and take a break at any time.
