Niels Poul "Tist" Nielsen (25 December 1891 – 9 August 1962) was a Danish footballer who is the joint all-time top goalscorer for the Denmark national team with 52 goals in 38 matches. Nielsen won a silver medal with the national team at the 1912 Summer Olympics.
Niels Poul Nielsen, mais conhecido como Tist Nielsen (Copenhague, 25 de Dezembro de 1891 –– Copenhague, 9 de Agosto de 1962), foi um futebolista dinamarquês amador, medalhista olímpico. [1] Nielsen defendeu por toda sua carreira o Kjøbenhavns Boldklub, onde conquistou seis títulos nacionais.
’Tist’ – en hurtig, teknisk fremragende og skudstærk forward – lavede fem af sine 52 mål i 38 landskampe indenfor 11 minutter i 12-0 sejren over Norge i 1917; og et dobbelt hattrick i 10-0 sejren over Sverige i 1913.
Poul Nielsen fik tilnavnet "Tist", fordi han som dreng var så dygtig til at komme gratis til fodbold – han var gra-tist! Han er begravet i fællesgraven på Bispebjerg Kirkegård. Noter

Although he played at a time when opportunities for international football were limited, he scored goals at such a rate that he still jointly holds the national team’s scoring record today, more than 85 years after his international retirement.
