The cantonal executives consist of either five or seven members, depending on the canton. For the names of the institutions, see the list of cantonal executives and list of cantonal legislatures.
This is a list of cantonal legislatures of Switzerland. Each canton has a democratically elected cantonal legislature, as well as elected members of the Federal Assembly. The cantonal legislatures are elected for four years, except in Fribourg, Vaud, Geneva and Jura, which elect their legislatures for five years.

Politics of Switzerland. This is a list of members of the Swiss National Council for the 2019–2023 term. The National Council has 200 members, each elected to represent one of twenty-six cantons. Elections were held on 20 October 2019, along with elections to the Council of States.
